What is your background? 

I’ve spent the past 11.5 years working with Helifix, providing solutions for structural defects on  a wide range of structures ie. bridges, residential housing, castles and even a nuclear submarine base!

What is your position?

Area Manager (Scotland – Residential)

What does this involve?

Liaising and listening to homeowners, engineers and local authorities – I assess the potential of providing innovative, Geobear ground stabilisation solutions.

Through detailed property surveys and substrate analysis, I can provide a bespoke, engineer approved treatment plan that will resolve the clients ground related issues, and provide peace of mind their investment stands on solid ground.

What made you apply for a position at Geobear?

The product is truly innovative and challenges conventional ground stabilisation techniques. What was once considered to be a messy and labour intensive procedure, Geobear can achieve the impossible in 1-2 days in what used to take weeks.

I stumbled across a finished Geobear project in 2021 and was stunned that the property had been stabilised yet there was little to no sign of ground disturbance. That’s when I decided to take a closer look at the company and I became utterly convinced that Geobear systems were the future of ground stabilisation.

What Area of the UK will you cover?

Scotland, although due to where I reside in the Scottish Borders, I’m able to assist my colleagues to provide additional support to Northern England.

When you are not at work, how do you like to spend your time?

If I’m not working on my house renovation, I like to spend time with my kids taking them on walking and hiking trails, museums and short cultural breaks….somehow they always incorporate the local ice cream shop!
