What is something your customers have to deal with that you want to fix?

One of the things I like most about my job is that no two projects are the same.

That said, one of the things I hear most, is the concern regarding disruption.

Ground works typically result in a business having to cease operations within a building due to dust and noise created by the works, and in some cases because the floor slab is removed.

I work with the client to reduce any disruption by operating a clean site, reducing programme, ensuring that they remain operational.

What do you do at Geobear?

I am an Area Manager, that means that I work with surveyors, engineers and business owners who look after commercial facilities.

I visit site to determine the requirements of the project. 

I then liaise with our in house engineering department to put together a design.

We intend to deliver safe, easy solutions that are fit for purpose. 

Our clients often want a solution to fix long term settlement or subsidence problems and this may require re-leveling slabs whilst maintaining the day to day running of the business or operation.

What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?

I have worked across the construction industry since 2010.

I have built a track record of delivering projects on time, and in budget.

I have continually gone above and beyond client expectations, building long term relationships that are cemented on trust and integrity.

What do you like about working at Geobear?

I enjoy working on projects that are often technically challenging.

Geobear is able to add value to a project in many ways and I enjoy working with the client to ensure that the design achieved matches their needs.

Clients are often surprised when they see our work in progress. It reminds me of the first time I saw us lift a slab in a domestic property where I watched the kitchen counters re-align with the wall tiles.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Walking, my husband and I head out to one of the national parks when we can.

Riding, I have a horse that I used to event, who is now partially retired so I enjoy taking him out for hacks.

Entertaining, my husband and I love nothing more than to throw a good party.
