Geobear Raise Money for Teardrops with the Introduction of Near Miss Reporting Scheme

(June 28, 2021)

Geobear’s values are Customer First, Professionalism, and Zero Harm.

As part of our commitment to “Zero harm” and to encourage a positive work culture around Near Miss Reporting and Health & Safety, Geobear has introduced a scheme whereby a donation will be made to charity for every Near Miss reported.

The scheme has been well received by employees and is helping to improve health and safety standards.

Each quarter, Geobear will make a donation to charity. This quarter we have chosen to donate to Teardrops – Supporting your community.

Teardrops started in March 2016 when Founder Shauni Ward and CEO Denise Kelly started an Outreach service after finding gaps in the services provided to the Homeless community during evenings and at weekends. The charity opened a hub in 2018 and since then has developed and evolved its services. They continue to work in partnership with various multi-agencies such as St Helens Council, Merseyside Police, NHS Boroughs Partnership, and Drug and Misuse teams to support the homeless and the local community.
