Geobear – Helping the Fight Against Coronavirus

The Coronavirus outbreak is the greatest global emergency in living memory. It is affecting how people live their lives all over the world.

Here’s how Geobear has been helping the fight against Coronavirus,

We have made a donation to the WHO’s Solidarity Fund, which support’s their work to track and understand the spread of the virus, to ensure patients get the care they need and frontline workers to get essential supplies and information; and to accelerate the effort to develop vaccines, tests, and treatments.

We have made a donation to the British Red Cross, National Emergencies Trust to support their Coronavirus Fundraising Appeal. They seek to raise funds to support communities made most vulnerable by the Coronavirus outbreak.

We have made a food donation to St Helen’s Charity, Teardrops – Supporting the Homeless. We spotted their urgent appeal which stated the charity was extremely short of non-perishable food to make emergency food bags for the homeless, and food packages for vulnerable families.

They had hardly any donations from supermarkets because of the lockdown, and people buying stocks of food. Our Northern offices are based in St Helens, Merseyside and we are always keen to help the local community. We delivered some shopping to their hub on Good Friday, and we hope this went a little way in helping those in need.

We have reached out to Contractorsappeal.com and various charities, to offer transport services, to help with any food or medical deliveries. We have donated PPE to Warrington & Co. so this can be distributed to front line workers in care homes, care workers in the community with elderly and vulnerable families, council workers helping the homeless and Funeral Directors who are dealing with COVID-19. We have also donated the profits of our stabilisation work at St Helier Hospital to the NHS and associated charities.
