Job description

This role reports to the Operations Director with a dotted line to SHEQ Director.  In this role your prime responsibilities are:

  • To maintain and support the training programme, including the maintenance of training records, maintaining the training plan budget, booking training and managing attendance to training sessions
  • Support management system audits which involve carrying out audits, logging corrective actions, non-conformance and allocating owners to actions that need to be taken, writing up results and logging issues raised with the action plan, location can be anywhere in the country ;
  • To provide support to the Fleet Department (Wolverhampton) Updating vehicle and driver compliance and processing all legal documentation for the fleet
  • To manage the supplier approval process and process all Subcontract Orders
  • To review, flag any issues and approve all expenses;
  • Review fines, ensure any monies owing to Geobear are collected via payroll, pay fines that need paying, log on to master spreadsheet
  • Review hotel bookings and expenses to ensure compliance with business policy
  • Review of Vehicle and fuel usage and ensure compliance with business policy
  • Review of operational teams’ hours booked and highlight non-conformances
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in place and adhered to;
  • To ensure that safety and compliance standards are maintained and any issues are addressed immediately.
  • Support in scheduling during periods of leave within the scheduling team.

  • Develop & maintain good working relationships with colleagues & superiors – job holder should be able to demonstrate good communications with colleagues and superiors, engendering support and respect from them.
  • Record keeping – the applicant should be able to demonstrate records of work undertaken and completed as well as work in progress.
  • Document presentation – the applicant should be able to demonstrate the ability to complete forms legibly and write letters and memos using good English and in the Corporate format.
  • Applicant should have an eye for detail and be confident to challenge and highlight non-conformance
  • Initiative and confidence – Applicants should be able to demonstrate a willingness to contribute new ideas to improve things and should be able to determine when to refer a matter to someone else or whether to deal with it themselves.

Location: Hybrid – two days per week in Wolverhampton Office
